Young Adult Borough Center

The Young Adult Borough Center (YABC), located at Tottenville HS is a collaboration between the Department of Education and New York Center. New York Center’s Staff understand the variety of obstacles that a young adult may find him/ herself contending with, perhaps threatening their paths to success. Each student has a Personal Advocate to help map the way around these obstacles.

Serving under credited and under-achieving students ages 17 1/2 to 21 years old.

Student must:

  • Be 17 ½ years of age
  • Have at least 17 credits

The YABC also offers students an opportunity to work in professional paid internships which in some cases can result in elective credit.

YABC students attend class from 4:00 to 8:30 Monday through Thursday.

Hours of Operation.
The YABC staff can be reached from 12:30 to 8:30 on Monday - Thursday and from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays.
